Streets of Disneyland

Two different pictures of streets in Disneyland. The pictures are from 1959. The first image shows Main Street USA with the classic horse drawn street car passing through Town Square. Similar to yesterday's photograph of the Jungle River loading dock is the three dimensional look.

The second image is of the Main Street of Frontierland. The image is from the Mark Twain dock looking towards the Plaza. My eye is drawn to the towering TWA Rocket to the Moon.

I don't think I've ever seen such a distant shot of the TWA Moonliner from that far inside Frontierland from ground level. Fantastic!

Agree with @K. Martinez... gorgeous picture of the rocket from inside Frontierland. That "weenie" really works. Makes me want to run over there right away. Too bad the Golden Horseshoe doesn't have her flag flying today. Finally, I enjoy those small details like the Exit sign hanging there over the gate and the cotton bales.

The first picture has two of the Main Street Ride Operators (or Attraction Hosts) standing in the back of the streetcar. Huh? I wonder if one of them is being trained?
